ImPRESS Manicure - A Salon-Quality Manicure At-home: Review

Do you ever feel that you never have time to pamper yourself or make something special for you..Then this post is a great tip for you.  Being a full time working professional & a busy mom , I don't usually get much time to take care of my nails & paint beautiful colors. Often is the case that a couple of nails break off or some nail colors stain and it is really hard to maintain a good look with uneven & stained nails. So I tend to clip my nails even and go bare. But here is one perfect solution for my (your) nail issues.

I was offered to try out a press-on nail product called IMPRESS Manicure. They have lot’s of beautiful colors & styles from soft hues, glitter tips, and on-trend accent nails and it is so easy to put them on! Their claim is, No glue, No dry time, and No damage!  I don't usually do my nails professionally. But these nails gave out such a professional look that my friends thought that I had some gel-nails or salon fixed nails on. It really took me less than 10 min to put all the nails (in both hands)

Application is easy. Just wash, dry the nails & wipe with the prep pad. Match the nails to fit the finger and peel the nail and press down firmly on the nail, starting at middle & then at sides. The UltraHold Technology keeps nails on, without any extra glue. Ta da.... Salon style nails are ready with a mega gel shine. One caution though. They will stick better if we don't expose to water or cut/file them for 1-3 hours.

They include a neat instruction tip booklet, a prep pad & nail buff in all the packs.

I did the first set before going to bed at Sunday night . So I didn't have to worry about exposing them to water until the next morning and the nails really got stuck well and didn't loosen up to 5-6 days. I had to replace a couple of them on 5th night though; still the set lasted more than a week. I wash my hands & face about 5-10 times a day, give my toddler a bath at night, hand wash utensils, do all normal chores at home, etc. But the nails withstood everything. It was even easier to work on the laptop and my touch phone.

But I had problems with the second set. I did them in the evening and had to expose them to water a couple of times in an hour of setting them up. My pinky nail got lost somewhere and I did feel the second set was not that stable like that first. I ended up losing few more within a couple of days and decided to remove them altogether.
The best part of removal is that, there is no residue or stain on your nails and it is easy to remove with a couple of drops of nail polish remover.

Overall I really liked these nails and would be glad to buy them again. They can be used for special occasions or weekend trips & parties at the 20% cost of what gel nails would cost at the salon., i.e. they cost only $5.99 to $6.99 per pack (can do twice both the hands). The quality is also good and they do not chip. You can also shape the nail with the little buff they have attached to the pack. This is definitely worth my money and is readily available is all local stores like Walgreens & Walmart. You can also order online at ImpressManicure.

Note: I received one or more of the products in my reviews for free/in discount. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my followers/reader/friends.

  1. You make it look so easy. They look like your real nails. I love the color link and that they added one nail to look different. It looks so stylish. My nails brake so it's hard to keep them long. I need to try Impress Manicure for myself. Thanks for sharing.

  5. I like the fact that you use a sticky pad and not that glue. I would always make such a mess with that glue. Love the pink color.

  9. Wow these definitely look gorgeous! I wonder if they fit people with narrow finger nails like me. How rough can you be on them?

    1. There are definitely some narrow sizes. I have used the widest of them for my nails are square. You can do your day to day stuff with the nails. But I don't recommend exposing them to water too many times as the water tend to get into the gap between the nails if they are not stuck well & may loosen them.

  10. Oh wow! This brings back memories for me from back in high school when I used to LOVE getting my nails done. I tried the cheap press on nails once and well... that didn't work out so well lol! I mean one little bump and they would fall off. Are these any good? They look great on you by the way!

    1. I would have loved if they were of dark color or pattern. I did like the pink one. But the nude one wasn't that good for me..

    1. Thank you :) I did not file them as I tend to grow my normal nails to the same length. If you want, you can file them to your desired length..

  14. I think I need these in my life. I had a nail tragedy recently, and I would hate to put acrylic or gel tips on.
